How do I register to take a written exam?First, in order to register to take an exam, you must have a federal tracking number. This is referred to as an FTN both on your 8610-2 and on the PSI website. The federal tracking number can be obtained at the website linked below. https://iacra.faa.gov/IACRA/Default.aspx Once at the website, you will go to the right-hand side of the screen and select register. Once complete you will copy the FTN number and go to the next website linked, which is PSI. https://faa.psiexams.com/faa/login PSI holds the federal contract for testing. A&P Fastrack does not receive any money from your testing, we do not and cannot charge you here at the school for the exam. A&P Fastrack is not affiliated with PSI in any way. We can only help you navigate their website and assist you in setting up your written exams in that manner. We cannot cancel an exam or request a refund for an exam on your behalf. Once at the website you will select create an account. The Very First item it asks for is your FTN number. Once your account is created, you can then log on to take exams.

What’s the Process? If based on experience the first step is obtaining your 8610-2 sign off by the FAA. If you have a certificate of completion from an approved school, then you can begin testing at any time you feel you are ready to with no 8610-2 needed. Step 1. Obtain 8610-2. This is done either on your own or with assistance from the school by providing the school with requested information. The school will submit on your behalf to the FAA. If the FAA approves your experience, then they will issue the 8610-2. Step 2. Study for the Written Exams (Airman Knowledge Tests). Step 3: Once all of the written exams are taken and passed, you then start on the Oral studies. Step 4: When you are ready to test for the oral and practical exam, we will schedule it with the DME. You must have all of your written exams taken before you can take the oral and practical examination. You cannot take just the General Written Exam and then go test on the General portion only of the Oral and Practical.

Pick a day you want to start and send the 8610-2 along with a valid ID to me in a follow up email. If you do not have your 8610-2 but meet the experience requirements, then there are a few steps necessary to help assist you in obtaining the 8610-2.
